The author

Bird comes from a small village near Brighton, on the south coast of England. His childhood was lonesome, yet fairly ordinary. He always had a fondness for drawing cartoons. It passed the time.

When it came to university, Bird decided to study Philosophy. In 2002, he left his village in the Sussex countryside and headed for the bright lights of London.

His degree gave him a lot of free time, so to keep himself busy, Bird began drawing again. In 2004, he produced a series of mandalas, and then later that year, his first comic: Sizemo and Satchmo vs Humanity. The comic sold poorly.

In 2005, he saw his drawings appear in such luminary publications as Naked Punch, The Cheese Grater and One Huge Peachy. He also put together his second comic, The Passionate Intensity of Neil Armstrong. This sold about ten copies.

Full-time employment followed the university years, and this led to a downturn in artistic output. Still, over the course of the next year he put together a 60 page comic called Tales From the Cosmic Mountain. This sold about four copies.

In 2006, Bird moved to Seville to pursue his dream of becoming a TEFL teacher. It was here that the cartoon strip Carl Garbanzo was created and conceived, forming the centrepiece of a new website, The Triangle Sky.

In 2008, Bird got married and is now back in his home town and working in Brighton.
